Successivamente, saliremo sulla cima del Monte Phousi per una piacevole esplorazione del sacro stupa dorato, e per una vista panoramica della città al tramonto. Da lì, esploriamo il mercato notturno, dove puoi trovare una deliziosa selezione di tessuti fatti a mano realizzati dalle popolazioni locali e delle tribù delle colline che circondano Luang Prabang. Luang Prabang - Pakou Grotte Oggi ci imbarcheremo su una crociera controcorrente sul fiume Mekong, che ci offrirà una vista panoramica della tranquilla campagna. Ci assicureremo di fermarci alle Grotte di Pak Ou, santuari costituiti da due grandi caverne, entrambi depositi di migliaia di immagini di Buddha. Ci fermeremo anche in alcuni villaggi durante il giorno, tra cui Ban Muangkeo, dove viene prodotto il vino di riso locale e Ban Xiengmene. Abbiamo anche la possibilità di salire al Wat Chomphet. Qui avrai una delle migliori viste di Luang Prabang dall'altra parte del fiume. Una volta tornati nella città di Luang Prabang, faremo un breve tragitto in auto verso Ban Xang Khong e Ban Xieng Lek, piccoli villaggi ben noti per la tessitura della seta e la fabbricazione della carta Saa (iuta). Proseguiremo poi verso le bellissime cascate Kuangsy, dove potrete nuotare nelle piscine turchesi o camminare lungo i sentieri della foresta. Luang Prabang - Oudomxay Dopo la colazione, prenderemo il treno espresso per Oudomxay. La provincia di Oudomxay ospita 23 gruppi di minoranze etniche, situati lungo il fiume Nam Beng. All'arrivo, verrai accolto dal nostro staff e trasferito al resort nella giungla Namkat Yolapa. Dopo il check-in in hotel, ci godremo un breve trekking attraverso la giungla fino alla cascata Namkat. Oudomxay - Muang La - Oudomxay Si parte al mattino in direzione Pak Khai; questo piacevole viaggio regala splendide viste sul fiume Nam Pak, sulle risaie terrazzate e sui piccoli villaggi lungo le rive del fiume. Al tuo arrivo, inizierai il tuo trekking lungo un sentiero di montagna e segue un ruscello di montagna che serpeggia attraverso la vegetazione lussureggiante. Hai la possibilità di incontrare gli agricoltori locali che lavorano nelle loro risaie, ed imparare come coltivano le loro terre, cacciano piccola selvaggina e pescano nel ruscello di montagna, prima di entrare nella foresta pluviale tropicale. Dopo circa 1 ora e mezza, si lascia la foresta e si arriva al villaggio di Ban Phavie; un bellissimo villaggio Khamu che si trova sulla cima di una collina. Dopo aver pranzato nel villaggio, prosegui verso alcune cascate vicine. Potrai rilassarti nelle fresche acque limpide, cullato dalla dolce brezza e dalla tranquillità delle cascate (tempo permettendo). Oudomxay - Luang Namtha Dopo la colazione, ci avventuriamo nella zona montuosa e remota del Laos settentrionale fino al confine con Sophoun. Faremo attenzione a fermarci al villaggio di Pak Nam Noi, dove ogni 10 giorni, secondo un calendario ancestrale, si tiene un mercato per gli abitanti del villaggio che vengono a comprare nella zona. Faremo anche una passeggiata piacevole intorno al villaggio di Khamu e al tempio, prima di raggiungere il confine per passare a Dien Bien Phu (Vietnam). Dopo pranzo, scopriamo la via del vita delle tribù delle colline, visiteremo anche lo stupa di Chieng Tung, il villaggio di Ban Nam Ded, il villaggio di Ban Nam Mai del popolo Yao e il punto di controllo locale di Pang Thong al confine tra Laos e Cina. Every place we stayed put our rooms right next to each other, often adjoining, and the kids’ room always had two twin beds and a cot, while my husband and I had a king bed. This was perfect as our teenagers did not want to share beds, lol! The activities were super fun and appealed to all of us. So many highlights - the kids loved the rice farm tour (riding the water Buffalo elicited the biggest smile we’ve ever seen from our 16 year old!), seeing the caves in Ninh Binh, the cooking class in Hoi An, and Ha Long Bay. I really appreciated that some of our itinerary was focused on less crowded activities - a couple of the temples we saw were practically empty, allowing us to enjoy and experience these beautiful sites on our own. We did a couple of bike rides which were also highlights, such a great way to explore and see the area! Minh was available and responsive while planning the trip and while we were there. I agree with others reviews about whether she ever sleeps! She was able to coordinate our luggage getting dropped off as it did not arrive with us, and contacted one of the hotels about a ring that had been left, and arranged for us to pick it up. So many highlights - the kids loved the rice farm tour (riding the water Buffalo elicited the biggest smile we’ve ever seen from our 16 year old!), seeing the caves in Ninh Binh, the cooking class in Hoi An, and Ha Long Bay. I really appreciated that some of our itinerary was focused on less crowded activities - a couple of the temples we saw were practically empty, allowing us to enjoy and experience these beautiful sites on our own. We did a couple of bike rides which were also highlights, such a great way to explore and see the area! Minh was available and responsive while planning the trip and while we were there. I agree with others reviews about whether she ever sleeps! She was able to coordinate our luggage getting dropped off as it did not arrive with us, and contacted one of the hotels about a ring that had been left, and arranged for us to pick it up. She was warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and so helpful. We truly had a relaxing and stress free trip because of the excellent customer service from Minh and our guides. With only having 12 days to visit we were so grateful to be able to enjoy the travel and know that Minh and her team were there if and when needed. We visited Vietnam in December/January 2023 and had an amazing trip with our 3 teens. The itinerary exceeded our expectations! We travelled to Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Ha Long Bay, Hoi An, and Nha Trang. We had no issues with any of our transportation around the country - our drivers and guides were always there on time (early, actually), friendly and helpful. The accommodations were excellent and our guides were fantastic (Tanh, Tanh, and Viet - they were awesome!). Every place we stayed put our rooms right next to each other, often adjoining, and the kids’ room always had two twin beds and a cot, while my husband and I had a king bed. This was perfect as our teenagers did not want to share beds, lol! The activities were super fun and appealed to all of us. So many highlights - the kids loved the rice farm tour (riding the water Buffalo elicited the biggest smile we’ve ever seen from our 16 year old!), seeing the caves in Ninh Binh, the cooking class in Hoi An, and Ha Long Bay. I really appreciated that some of our itinerary was focused on less crowded activities - a couple of the temples we saw were practically empty, allowing us to enjoy and experience these beautiful sites on our own. We did a couple of bike rides which were also highlights, such a great way to explore and see the area! Minh was available and responsive while planning the trip and while we were there. I agree with others reviews about whether she ever sleeps! She was able to coordinate our luggage getting dropped off as it did not arrive with us, and contacted one of the hotels about a ring that had been left, and arranged for us to pick it up. She was warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and so helpful. We truly had a relaxing and stress free trip because of the excellent customer service from Minh and our guides. With only having 12 days to visit we were so grateful to be able to enjoy the travel and know that Minh and her team were there if and when needed.
