Custom Vietnam was recommended to us and at first we were rather skeptical in that we in over 10 years of traveling the world we had never used a tour operator. We were put in touch with Rosie who literally took care of everything. It was the best! Our time in Vietnam was for 3 1/2 weeks and split into 3 segments, in each part we were in the good and capable hands of Custom Vietnam: North, Central and South. In the North we spent 5 days in Hanoi. Our guide, Hung, met us at the airport and over the period took us around Hanoi visiting all the monuments and sights. He spoke excellent English and truly showed us the local culture and history of the area, including Ha Long Bay. The Central part was in Hue and again while with a different guide, we were immersed in local culture and tradition. The South was of course in Saigon and the Delta. We were met by Ngon, our guide upon arrival in Saigon and immediately we explored Saigon for 3 days before moving on to the Delta.What was so special about Custom Vietnam is that they took care of everything! From 4 & 5 Star hotels, to tours, to meals, various excursions and it was all first class. An added sidebar was the fact that we ate with the locals in their eating establsihments and not in your typical tourist or Western restaruants. I could go on and on but for comfort and peace of mind Custom Vietnam is well worth it.

Working with Custom Vietnam and their travel specialist Liliana made for a wonderful trip to Vietnam. We laid out the things we wanted to do and places we wanted to visit and Liliana designed a custom-made itinerary that exceeded our expectations. We were not sure how it would be dealing with a local tour company but have nothing but rave reviews based on attentiveness, quality of service and reasonable cost. We spend three weeks in Vietnam and stayed in lovely 4-star hotels or comfortable Homestays (living right with rural families) and had many, many authentic, local experiences that we know we could not have had if we had traveled with a group tour. My son and I just returned from a 21 day trip through Vietnam and Angkor, in Cambodia. We had the good fortune to work with Rosie Do at Custom Vietnam Travel. Rosie is an excellent travel specialist. She customized the Scenic Vietnam & Fab Angkor Tour based on our requests. Her patience and attention to detail insured that we had the vacation we wanted. There were many emails going back and forth and her response was immediate as she addressed every question thoroughly. Our trip started in Hanoi. Rosie met us the first day with a printed itinerary, a welcome gift and a phone. We were on the move a lot, and the whole trip went smooth, actually better than expected. The drivers and guides were always on time, in good spirits and extremely courteous and professional. We had a good variety of activities and saw everything that we requested and more. The guides are knowledgeable, personable and open. We learned a lot about life in Vietnam. The hotels, home stays, and restaurants were all high quality. Both my son and I agree that our experience could only have been better if we had more time to spend. Vietnam is a beautiful country with wonderful people. Because of Custom Vietnam Travel we had a fantastic trip to Vietnam and Angkor and I highly recommend them for your tour.

I asked Custom Vietnam Travel to prepare a three night tour of the Ninh Binh area for my family, and we were very pleased with the experience, which was one of the most memorable travel experiences of my life. The booking and planning process was extremely well managed an responsive with extensive email communication before arriving in Vietnam and communication through WhatsApp after we arrived. The guide and driver met us early in the morning at Hanoi railway station where we had arrived on the overnight sleeper train from Sapa. The guide took us on a short walking tour of Hanoi Old Quarter which included street food breakfast and coffee at a sidewalk cafe. Then we went for about two hours drive to Trang An where we went on a beautiful sampan boat ride through the Trang An rivers, caves and lakes, after which we checked into our hotel (Ninh Binh Hidden Charm). The next three days included visits to various temples and pagodas, more sampan boat rides, exploring caves, a climb up a karst mountain, a visit to an endangered primate sanctuary, a bicycle ride through the farmland and a hike in the national park rainforest. Lunches at local restaurants and homestays were included and catered well for us as vegetarians. We got back to our hotel in Hanoi at around 5pm on Day 4. The cost was around $1400 (Australian) for three people including the guide, the driver, lunches, all entry tickets and two rooms x three nights in a four star hotel, which I thought was excellent value for money. My wife had to cancel at the last minute which was beyond the cutoff date for refund so we had paid that for two people (my son and I in separate rooms) but still good value. Our guide was excellent: engaging and enthusiastic, with a vast knowledge of Vietnamese culture and history. He enjoyed giving advanced Vietnamese lessons to my son who is living in Hanoi and studying the language. (Tip: if you're booking a tour in North Vietnam, ask for Mr Thanh as a guide).

Along with another couple we did s your covering Hoi An, Mai Chou, Halong Bay and Hanoi. The guide we had with us was excellent and the vehicle very comfortable. The itinerary ran like clockwork and we were delighted with the accommodation booked for us. Custom’s office then took the trouble to ring us in the tour to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and then MacNeil to our hotel to meet us at the end of the trip - exceptional service and excellent value- very impressed!!

Julie set up our tour and it was excellent! Our tour guide Ngon was awesome. She was knowledgeable and showed us many things off the beaten track! The farm stay and visit to their local market was eye opening! The room was simple but very clean and the food was amazing! All the accomadations were awesome! I would not hesitate in telling friends and family to use this company!!

I had two wonderful weeks traveling in Vietnam together with my 23-year-old daughter, every thing work out like a Swiss watch, all thank to our coordinator Julie, the guide Tuan and the driver Dzuan.
