I went Vietnam with my mother June 2017.Minh Hinh was very effective responding and she very well organized our tour. My mother and me enjoyed the tour very much without any difficulties. This has been the absolute best experience of our Vietnam trip. PICK UP FROM HANOI We were picked up from Hanoi for our custom made mountain bike trip. We drove 4 hours west of Hanoi with Huong our guide and Huong our driver, had lunch on the way and were dropped of with our bikes and with Huong. MOUNTAIN BIKE EXPERIENCE - 4 DAYS ON BIKES We biked through rice paddies, sugar cane and corn fields, little villages and through the mountains. It was to die for. We loved every bit of it. LEVEL OF FITNESS They can custom make your trip to fit your family. We have boys at the age of 13, 15 and 19 and we are all quite fit with exercise being a big part of our lives and we were challenged at some stages at a level which was perfect for us. CONDITIONS OF MOUNTAIN BIKES They were very good American mountain bikes. All were ready for us in the correct size as they they asked for all of our measurements before arrival. Pls note that this is far from the case for other agencies. My husband is 195 cm tall and 2 of my son's are 185 cm meaning we were positively surprised that they lived up to their promises. FOOD All food was included and pre-booked. All Vietnamese specialities and we got to taste food which we would never have been able to order ourselves. ACCOMODATIONS Agency will suggest Hotels and Home Stays, however I had done a lot of research and we asked specifically to stay at Sol Bungalows (my favourite hotel in all of Vietnam) in Mai Chau and Hidden Charms hotel in Tam Coc (Ninh Bin). Both hotels with lovely swimming pools. We had one night at a Home Stay (house on stilts) picked by agency. The family we stayed with were wonderful and the sleeping accommodations were clean and very cozy. The area underneath the house where we spend the entire evening was clean but totally stripped from charm. The actual location of the Home Stay was nothing special. We passed many other Home Stays which were much more charming and in more interesting locations. Maybe this was just what fitted in with the bike ride. THE SERVICE / STAFF OF CUSTOM VIETNAM TRAVEL I was in contact with several agencies beforehand to get quotes. My contact was Minh Ninh and she was massively professional. Responded quickly to all emails, was gentle in her approach but still really good at the follow up part. She has been so helpful and was the main reason why I chose this agency. Huong our guide throughout the bike tour was one of a kind. His English was exceptional good and we had no problem understanding him. He was also very knowledgeable and well educated and on top of this he was a joy to be with. Really kind, good fun and joyful. We will definitely ask for him next time. PRICES They were not the cheapest, but as I trawled through the quotes I can guarantee that you get what you pay for. The agencies who had lover prices did not offer the same good bikes and of course they adjust the price compared to your accommodation requirements. HALONG BAY AS WELL On top of the mountain bike trip Minh Ninh also arranged and booked our HALONG Bay trip for us and everything booked was of proper good quality and standard. They will not book the bad and lower price / standard cruises. Top recommendations from me.

I booked a trip to Vietnam in late January. My teenage son and I travelled to Vietnam in early July. I booked our whole Vietnam trip with Custom Travel. From Hanoi, Halong Bay, Hoi An and finally Ho Chi Minh city. From my first email I dealt with Susan, she was very efficient, helpful and her email replies were quick. Together with her help, a tailor made itinerary was made and included all the sights and places I wanted to visit. Our trip was absolutely awesome. From the minute we landed in Hanoi to the time we left Saigon 10 days later we were looked after by our guides and drivers. Susan gave an emergency cell phone in case we needed to get hold of her. Hotel accommodation, set lunch menus, entrance fees, and transport fees (land, air and boats) were all included. All we had to pay for were drinks at lunch and tips for drivers and guides. I cannot recommend this company highly enough, if I could I would give them a 10 star rating. All our guides, Truong, Nam and Cuong were very knowledgeable, friendly and on time. Our drivers drove properly and carefully, in Vietnam they overtake and don't really follow traffic rules like in other parts of the world, but our drivers drove well and got us safely to our destinations. We were so well cared for. I absolutely love Vietnam and this is definitely due to Custom Travel's Tour organisation. Thank you so much for making this an unforgettable experience.

I travel to Hanoi for work fairly frequently and each time, try to get out and explore what Vietnam has to offer. I'm a photographer on the side and after some research, discovered Mu Cang Chai as having some of the best rice terraced fields in the area. I wanted a private tour, with just myself and a co-worker for a 3 day, 2 night tour. After reaching out to several tour companies on-line, I chose Custom Vietnam Travel, not because of the price (they were slightly higher than some of the others), but because of the responsiveness from Liliana, who quickly replied to all my emails, and was willing to tailor the trip to what I wanted to see. The tour exceeded my expectations and I came away with some fantastic photos, and a new appreciation of all the hard work that the rural farmers put in to produce their rice harvest.

Susan Nguyen organised the 6 days private tour for the 10 of us from Hong Kong, she is brilliant, friendly and attentive, especially impressed by her super quick response to our queries, and good advises , she was well taken care of us throughout the journey. Due to heavy rain and bad weather, we encountered unforgettable experience, though a bit scary, but this made our trip more memorable , thanks to the guide's quick decision, and big thanks to our skillful driver ! We just returned from the most amazing Vietnam vacation. Susan assisted with day trips out of Hanoi and in Hoi An, visa assistance, car transport with driver/tour guides in many cities, and a fabulous boat rental and hotel in Ha Long Bay. Susan at Custom Vietnam Travel handled everything very professionally and made our family trip a huge success! For many, many months two families were contacting Susan to coordinate our combined trip - Susan always immediately responded to all our questions and requests, she is amazing! We booked a tour of 7 days 6 nights with Custom Vietnam Tour and from the moment we land at the airport there is someone to pick up and bring us to our hotels. It was very convenient and comfortable as you no need to think much and all is arranged for. The tour guides Mr Duy and Mr Bien are very knowledgeable and able to share those interesting history with us. The drivers assigned are also very good and on time. The van that ferries us around is very very comfortable. Liliana whom we emailed for all the arrangements took the trouble to meet us and also call us to check on us from time to time. She is very good and attentive. Overall we love the services provided by this travel company. :)

Custom Vietnam Travel really does provide an excellent service for their clients. We went to Hanoi and Halong Bay Last June 7-11, 2017 (A group of 12) and all of us were truly pleased of their assistance and impressed with the tours they have provided. Ms. Mihn and Mr. Tang is the best tourguide that we have encountered so far in our travels, no sugar- coating. You can really see their passion on promoting the tourism of Vietnam and on accommodating us. If we are going to go back we will definitely choose them again as our tour guide.

My partner and I used this agency for a five day private tour to the Dong Van Karst Geopark and the Ba Be National Park in June and have to say that it was one of the best tours I have ever been on. At first glance it wasn't the cheapest, but it was the best option for us as it included transport in an air-conditioned car (a must for the boiling Vietnamese summer with 40C days), an excellent English speaking guide (Kim Tràn), a very competent driver (Cuóng), accommodation in hotels and a homestay for one night, all meals, up to two bottles of water per person per day, and all entrance fees and tolls. Our main point of contact for organising the tour was Lilliana, a lovely woman who was quick to respond to all queries via email, and who took the trouble to visit us at our hotel at the end of the tour to receive our feedback. Throughout the tour we were extremely well taken care of - both Kim and Cuóng were very warm and friendly, and although Cuóng spoke very little English, he kept his cool during some extremely difficult and long rides on dodgy mountain roads. Kim’s knowledge of the areas we were visiting was excellent - his enthusiasm for travel was apparent from his own personal trips all over Vietnam, and his knowledge of linguistics extremely impressive. Dong Van and Ba Be National Parks in themselves were incredible, easily the best views we've seen in Vietnam, especially near Meo Vac, and I highly recommend taking the time to visit this part of the county if you are visiting for two weeks or more. In terms of accomodation, other than the first hotel in Hang Gia, which was pretty basic (with exceptionally hard beds! To their credit the agency had provided us with extra mattresses for the entirety of the tour, carried in the car boot), the other two hotels in Dong Van and Meo Vac towns were very good. Food throughout the tour was outstanding - minus 1-2 okay meals everything else was rather excellent at each of the simple, local food joints to which we were taken. The agency took the effort to cater to dietary requirements while still arranging for delicious options. The food during this tour was some of the best I've eaten in Vietnam, and full credit to Kim and the agency for seeking out the choicest locations for each meal. Each of our meals comprised traditional, 100% authentic Vietnamese fare, as we could see from the clientele (and meals! We certainly peeked at other tables shamelessly) at these places, and I'm rather sad now that we cannot experience that again. The road journeys themselves were very enjoyable with frequent stops where sensible to stretch our legs, take photos, go for short hikes, visit restrooms, and for meals on longer trips. Marvellously, Kim also carried with him a mobile WiFi broadcasting device, which, albeit slow, meant that we even had internet connectivity to use during the less scenic parts of the long drives - a completely unexpected yet highly appreciated perk. All in all, Custom Vietnam turned out to be an excellent tour company and we highly recommend them to everyone.
